Pros and cons of Dictionnaire Littré app for iPhone and iPad

Dictionnaire Littré app good for

Thank you for this great little dictionary both my kids are always complaining about not finding their Larouse, they hopefully will never misplace their iPods.
I havent used all that much for the moment, but as far as I can tell, it works great. Good definitions, no Internet needed... What more can one ask for? Maybe other languages?
I learned French years ago but had forgotten a lot of it. This is a wonderful way to both look up and review words and how to use them in conversation. I love it!!
Extensive vocabulary; gives a full list of meanings and good description of each, lot of examples from classical literature and a good deal of grammatical information for each word. Etymological articles are helpful and interesting.

Some bad moments

This was a great app, but it does not work anymore for me in iOS 9.
I have this dictionary on my ipod and it works great. For some reason, it does not want to even oen on my iphone, on the app installed. I have no idea why...bug? Its a shame!
Ive been using Littre for a couple of years and upgraded as upgrades were made available. Big Mistake. Up until recently there were no pop up ads so someone had the bright idea to interrupt what was a pleasurable intellectual experience with constant reminders that Citibank really needs my attention. Please if you are listening Thomas Chapuis or whomever has the reins here make a non-advertisement version available for a fee. Banking is the farthest thing from my mind when Im looking up an obscure lexical item in a poem by Francis Ponge.
I used to enjoy this app. However, the ads are so distracting that it makes me angry. I would gladly pay a fee for this app. Please make a payed version!
This was a wonderful resource, but I just now discovered it doesnt open anymore. I hope this will be fixed.
This used to be a handy app to have when I was out and about and did not have access to a dictionary. Unfortunately, it no longer launches; apparently this is a problem with iOS 9. I even deleted the app and downloaded it again; also shut down my phone and re-booted. No luck.
